I'm Officially Clueless
I have fiddled with this stubborn sidebar for several hours now and the silly thing still resides at the bottom of this page where it's been since like day 2 or 3 of my grand opening.
I've searched the web, visited multiple blogs and support forums and have tried every solution posted that I could understand (I don't speak html very well, I'm afraid). I've changed my template about a dozen times and I've run my code through an html validator (that would have been pretty cool had I been able to interpret the results, lol). I've changed the width in my html on my header and my sidebar, but it still won't bring my sidebar up.
It's approaching the 3a hour and I'm officially clueless. So, BabyBlogger is off to bed now...if anyone has any suggestions, please, please, PLEASE post.
Thanks!

When my sidebar dropped, it was because my post titles were too long to fit in the sidebar along with the posts.
Also, as Stacy said, long links are a common problem. If you go back and see if you can shorten the links - maybe don`t include the whole link but do a "click here" thing.
Hope this helps.
Thanks for visiting my blog. Sorry my posts there didn't help you solve this problem. If I find out a solution, I'll let you know.
You probably already tried this, but have you changed the width of your main window (where your actual post is)? It looks like on some of your posts you have links listed that show up wider than what the width of that main section should be. The first one that looks like that is on July 19, so that sounds like right about when you said the problem started. I don't know if that necessarily means that changing the main width will fix it, but that was my first thought.
I have the same template as you, and this is what the Html looks like for that part (with added -bold- where the width is):
/* Content
----------------------------------------------- */
@media all {
#content {
width:660px;
margin:0 auto;
padding:0;
text-align:left;
}
#main {
width:410px;
float:left;
I mostly use FireFox and your sidebar looks fine in it, it only has a problem in Internet Explorer (this isn't surprising as there are known CSS problems in most browsers, particularly IE).
I have seen this problem before and am not sure how I got around it, if at all, but long strings of characters unbroken by spaces or returns and unclosed html tags can cause this problem.
I did a quick check and it doesn't happen on all of your posts. Check it out:

I suspect it's long URLs that are killing your sidebar. To fix it, just go back in your posts and edit or remove the offending text. The easiest way to do this would be not to post the actual URL in your post, just make some text linking to that URL. Note that text in comments can also cause this problem.
Hope this helps. I don't know that using the new Beta Blogger will make any difference since this is really just a bug in Internet Explorer, but it's possible that some of the templates have the CSS written so that it gets around the problem.
It looks fine in Firefox and Netscape but not Internet Explorer. The good news is that fewer and fewer people still use IE. I think that Kato has it figured out (a stupid bug, to be sure). If you use an abbreviated link, such as stevemount.blogspot rather than the full
http://stevemount.blogspot.com/ your problem should go away. In the meantime, I recommend switching to Firefox (it's better in lots of ways). You can still use IE to check your posts; in fact XP and OS X both allow you to have multiple browsers open at once.
Thanks for all of the help. It's good to know that it's only showing this way in IE. In the next day or two, I'll dive back in and give your suggestions a try. In the meantime, I really, really appreciate you all taking the time to lend a hand.
Take care and God bless!
